Referee Membership

To register as a referee please follow the steps below.

In order to be assigned to referee a match each referee must have submitted a Police Record Check completed within the last 3 years as well as completed a free 45-minute Safe Sport e-Learning online training module.

Step 1 – SIGN UP FOR AN NCCP NUMBER (You can skip this step if you already have an NCCP number)
  1. Volleyball Canada requires all PIA (Persons in Authority) to complete the Safe Sport Training. This is a FREE 45 minute online course. 
Step 2 - CREATE A SPORTLOMO ACCOUNT (this is Volleyball Nova Scotia’s new registration system)
  • Have your NCCP number read - Refer to Step 1 if you don’t have an NCCP number.
  • Follow the link to “Sign Up” or to “Create an Account”. https://volleyball.canada.sportsmanager.ie/sportlomo/registration/member-registration/club/12318
  • Enter information and click “Register”
  • On the next page make sure there is a “1” beside the “Referee” membership you require and hit “Register”.
  • On the following page input your information, read and agree to the waivers, sign and hit “Register”.
  • On the next page enter your credit card details and hit “Continue” to purchase the membership
 
Step 3 – ACTIVATE YOUR ACCOUNT
  • CHECK YOUR EMAIL and look for an email with “User Registration Confirmation” in the subject line.
  • Click “Activate Account”
Please note that in order to be assigned, all referees 19 years old and older must provide Volleyball Nova Scotia with a valid Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check and have completed their Safe Sport training.
